Federal Government To Trains 111 Girls On ICT

One hundred and eleven girls selected from across the seven states of the North West geo-political zone have been selected to be train on basic rudiments of Information Communication Technology (ICT), by the Federal Government.

Disclosing the information over the weekend in Dutse, the Director General of the National Information and Communication Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Dr. Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami said the training is expected to last for three weeks.

According to Dr. Pantami, the training was designed to empower girls with a view to reducing unemployment among the youths in the region.

He said the girls would be exposed to the basic rudiments of computer operations, and at the end of the training, each participant would be issued with a free Laptop computer to enable them establish their business even from their houses as beginners.
