NAF Deploys Intelligence Surveillance Aircraft To restore Mormalcy After Killings

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) on Monday deployed an Mi-35P combat helicopter and an Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) aircraft to Plateau State expected to enhance intelligence gathering geared towards restoring normalcy in the crisis affected areas in the state.

in support of efforts aimed at quelling the crisis that recently erupted in the state geared towards restoring normalcy.

According to a statement signed by the Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Vice Marshal Olatokunbo Adesanya, the deployment of the ISR aircraft combat helicopter would combat air support operations in close coordination with surface forces deployed to the state.

He said while other NAF air assets are available at nearby alternate airfields to hasten the process of restoring normalcy in the state.

This deployment is coming at the heels of the killings that took place in Plateau state wherein over 100 persons were killed in several attacked by suspected fulani herdsmen.
