Army Arrests Two Traditional Rulers In Zamfara, Kills Six Bandits

Two Zamfara traditional rulers have been arrested by the Troops of the Nigerian Army attached to Operation Harbin Kunama 3 for serving as informants to bandits in the state, while 6 bandits were killed in a recent attack.

The two Zamfara traditional rulers who were arrested by the Nigerian army, are leaders of Doka and Mutu villages in the Gusau Local Government Area of the state.

It was gathered that the six bandits were shot dead in Kirsa and Sunke villages in the Anka Local Government Area of Zamfara State, during a gun battle.

It was learnt that apart from the arrests of the leaders of Doka and Mutu villages whose names were not disclosed, the troops arrested 16 other suspected informants and errand men to the bandits. Two AK-47 rifles and two motorcycles were recovered from the bandits who attacked the army officers, during a clearance operation in Kirsa and Sunke villages in the Anka Local Government Area.
