Previous Head of Condition, Gen. Abdullsalam Abubakar, on Tuesday, urged all Nigerians to sign up for arms to eradicate the menace of insecurity at present bedeviling the state.
Abubakar spoke at the once-a-year award dinner arranged by Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation in Kaduna, wherever he was the special visitor of honour.
He called on younger era and current leaders to be certain that there is progress, development, equity and justice, NAN stories.
“We will usually pray for peace and I am desirable to all Nigerians to place all arms on deck to eradicate this menace of insecurity at the moment threatening the peace of the place.
“We need to attempt as substantially as achievable to give data and intelligence experiences to the safety agencies for timely motion.
“The late Sir Ahmadu Bello was all in all, he was a chief who ensured there was peace in the nation and in northern Nigeria in specific.
“He was in a position to do this irrespective of tribe or spiritual affiliations, he did what is correct and carried all people together.
“He ensured that there was progress throughout board,” he mentioned.
